Dr. Matt Dollar followed in his father’s footsteps, driven by a deep desire to provide exceptional dental care to the community. His passion for dentistry was evident in his work, and his early years leading the practice were marked by a devotion to patient-centered care. Tragically, Dr. Matt Dollar passed away a few years later, leaving a void in the practice and the community.
In 2007, Dr. James Dollar, in honor of his son’s vision, purchased Tidewater Family Dentistry, carrying forward Dr. Matt Dollar’s legacy. Dr. Dollar’s commitment to his son’s mission gave the practice a sense of continuity and a renewed focus on delivering compassionate care to the families who relied on them.

In 2019, Dr. John Randall Owen became the new owner of Tidewater Family Dentistry. For Dr. Owen, this wasn’t just a professional opportunity—it was a personal journey.
