When moving from another state it’s hard to find a trustworthy Dentist, but when I was referred to Tidewater Family Dentistry by my sister, I knew I would be in good hands. Everyone at the office from the staff in the front to the assistants and hygienists in the back, everyone is wonderful and very professional. Dr. Owen is patient, gentle and takes his time answering any questions or concerns you may have. My 9 year old that is has major dental anxiety, Dr. Owen was able to calm her down and extract her baby tooth without any issues. Brenda the hygienist has taken care of my daughter and myself and she’s professional and very thorough! Thank you everyone at Tidewater Family Dentistry for making us feel so welcomed!

I really like coming to Tidewater Family Dentistry. On my last visit Miss. Judy was very nice and she was very gentle in cleaning my teeth . Dr Owens and the rest of the staff is very nice and friendly.

Today I had really great experience at Dr. Owen’s clinic. He is a great dentist in the area and his staff too. His hygienist Ms. Debbie Gawryluk, cleaned my teeth. I had excellent experiences with her as usual. She is the best. Going to the Tidewater Dentistry gives you a homey feeling, I would definitely recommend this place.

The only dentist I have ever been to that I would recommend to others. Very capable and professional staff, friendly atmosphere. You interact with actual people instead of a computer or a recording. They are really conscious of the “discomfort” of many dental procedures and do their best to minimize it. Very upfront and clear on costs, too, with other dentists I’ve had some “surprises”. Dr. Owens runs a great shop – all around, best dentist & dental practice I’ve ever had.
Great experience all around! Dr. Owen is great! Very friendly and has a great ability to explain things in layman’s terms. But, the best part of my experience was the cleaning. I am a dental professional, and the cleaning I got from Laurie was the best cleaning I’ve ever had in my life!
Dr. Owen is the most gentle, professional dentist I have ever had. He has an excellent chairside manner with both children and adults, and his approach to care is both conservative and comprehensive. Cannot recommend this practice enough!
Dr. Owen provides fantastic, personalized care to every patient. During each exam, he explains the process and anything he finds in a way that I understand it and helps me improve my oral health without the need for intervention (fillings etc.)
