ABOUT DR. JAMES DOLLAR

Dr. James Dollar is a family dentist bringing years of experience and expertise to Tidewater Family Dentistry in Newport News, VA. A native of Georgia, he was originally encouraged to pursue a career in dentistry by mentors in his church. Dr. Dollar received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Dollar likes that general dentistry affords him opportunities to build lasting relationships with his patients and to collaborate regularly with local dental specialists. He is especially proud that his son Matt followed in his footsteps by also pursuing a career in dentistry.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

When not in the office, Dr. Dollar can be found taking daily walks and doting on his “grand-dogs” Finley and Rudy. He also enjoys attending church every Sunday.
